Battle Points, also known as BP, are a mechanic in Xenoblade Chronicles X. They are used to raise the level of Arts and Skills.
Battle Points are earned in a number of ways:
- Raising one's Level or Class Rank
- Discovering Base Camps
- Opening Treasure Boxes
- Registering "Lucky Panel" collectibles (marked with a star) in the Collectopedia
- Completing rows, categories, and regions of collectibles in the Collectopedia
- Completing Squad Missions
- Completing "EXP and BP" Support Missions
The total BP cost to level a standard non-Tension Art to its maximum is 124 BP, while it costs 186 BP for a Tension Art. The total BP needed to max out a Skill is 62 BP. Most sources of BP are automatically awarded to all party members, even those yet to be recruited.
