Dughall (Japanese: モーフ, Mōfu) is an antagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. He is a cowardly and selfish bureaucrat of the Empire of Mor Ardain stationed in Torigoth, and the Driver of a Blade named Dolmes.

Story[]

Dughall first receives word that the Aegis has arrived in Gormott by Bana. When Rex and Nia arrive in Gormott, he sends some soldiers to capture the Aegis. Brighid arrives on the scene to help in the battle, but intervention from Tora allows Rex and Pyra to escape. Although Nia and Dromarch are captured, Dughall remains upset, knowing that a much bigger bounty is on the Aegis.

Mòrag later arrives in Torigoth and forms a plan to lure the Aegis to them. After Rex and Tora infiltrate the Titan Warship, Dughall fights them alongside his Blade, only to be defeated. Dughall is not seen for the rest of the story, though it is assumed that he was removed from his station in Torigoth; it is mentioned by Edgar, the Gormotti Chief of Torigoth, that although Dughall was selfish and unpopular, he was also a genuinely capable administrator.

Battle[]

Dughall is encountered as an Ardainian Soldier and Driver boss. He is fought at level 13 alongside his Blade Dolmes at the end of the Titan Battleship. He attempts to stop the party from escaping and is defeated, despite his underhanded tactics.

Details[]

  • Dughall can guard attacks from any side.
  • Despite acting as his Blade, Dolmes is its own enemy during the battle, with its own separate stats and arts. However, he cannot be damaged nor targeted. The battle will end once Dughall's HP have been reduced to 0.

Trivia[]

  • Dughall yells the word "pineapple" when using his "Grenade" Art. He is most likely referring to the attack itself, as "pineapple" is a nickname for the American Mk 2 grenade.
  • Dughall's Japanese voice actor, Keiji Hirai, also voices Perdido.
