The Lightspeed Sonid
Eks (Japanese: エクス, Ekusu, lit. Equus) are a family of horse or unicorn-like enemies in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. They are structurally similar to Bargs, and slightly similar to Ponios, which are also horse-like.
There is a large appearance change between the games; Eks in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna ~ The Golden Country are less spiny, rounder and more horse-like than Eks in Xenoblade Chronicles.

They are first encountered in Makna Forest, and later seen at Eryth Sea and Valak Mountain. They come in blue and white varieties split by climate.

Eks can be found in the Gormott Province, where they come in blue and orange varieties.

Blue Eks can be found in the Aletta Region of the Kingdom of Torna, while orange Eks can be found in Gormott.
