Every Dog Has Its Day is a Heart-to-Heart in Xenoblade Chronicles X. It is located at the south side of Deliverance Park, southeast side of the grass block, in the Residential District of New Los Angeles between Lao and Cross in the early morning.

- "Nah, I don't have anything particular against them."
- "In fact, back when I was still a snot-nosed brat, I actually had a pup myself."
- "But she died when I was pretty young."
- "Of course, everything that lives will die one day..."
- "But seeing them just reminds me of how powerless I was to stop it."
- Cross
- Choice B – Apologize: Say sorry for any trouble your dog caused.
- Lao
- "That's your dog? Nah, it didn't do nothing (sic) wrong. Seems plenty friendly to me."
- "I'm sure you and Lin are taking good care of it."
- "I used to have a dog myself, but she died when I was just a kid."
- "I know that death is a part of life, but it still tore me up to know there was nothing I could do."
- "To this day, whenever I see a dog, I can't help but feel the pangs."
- Lao
- "The more good times you've had together, the more it hurts to lose someone."
- "Don't you think?"
- Cross
- Choice A – Agree: Tell Lao he's spot-on.

- "Yeah..."
- "Even now, when I think about all the people we left behind on Earth..."
- "Never mind. I know that's not something anyone wants to talk about first thing in the morning."

- Lao
- "Ah, that's right. You don't even remember your past."
- "Me, I don't know that I'll ever be able to forget the people we abandoned on Earth."
- "I don't ever want to see anything like that happen again."

- "Well, this place is making me jumpy, so I'm gonna head to the diner or something."
- "That dog sniffing at my heels kinda bummed me out, but...thanks for talking me through it."
