For the Nation, see Empire of Mor Ardain.

Mor Ardain (Japanese: スペルビア, Superubia, Superbia) is a Titan in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is ruled over by the Empire of Mor Ardain. It looks like a giant, metallic humanoid. The arm below Alba Cavanich is a mere stump. Since it is walking through the Cloud Sea, it is affected by the tides.

Areas[]

Climate[]

According to the Heart-to-Heart "The Ground Beneath our Feet", Mor Ardain houses an extremely hot climate resulting in desolate landscapes. As the Titan nears its death from old age, its temperature has been rising consistently, making agriculture and food production increasingly difficult, although geothermal technology is more effective. This was the catalyst for the Empire's conquest of what is now Gormott Province whose titan, though also already past its prime, is still relatively far more fertile.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3[]

In Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Mor Ardain's right hand, arm and shoulder can be seen making up various parts of the Keves Castle Region.

Future Redeemed[]

In Future Redeemed, the remains of Mor Ardain's upper body appears in its entirety.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[]

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mor Ardain is one of the Titans that can appear in the background of the "Cloud Sea of Alrest" DLC stage.

Etymology[]

Both the Japanese and English names allude to one of the seven deadly sins, pride, the former from the Latin word and the latter from the Scottish Gaelic word mór-àrdan.

Trivia[]

  • On the right shoulder of the titan, a salvaging town called Chilsain exists, although players never get to go to it. Later in the game, Players learn that it has been destroyed.
