The future doesn't belong to you!

For those who have not completed games in the Xenoblade Chronicles series, this page contains spoilers regarding the plot. Discretion is advised.

"Your surprise is understandable. We are the Machina. The people of Mechonis."
— Linada

Linada (English dub: /liˈnɑːdə/) is a supporting character in Xenoblade Chronicles.

Overview[]

Xenoblade Chronicles[]

Linada is the first Machina the party meets after their reunion on the Fallen Arm, and resides in the Hidden Machina Village with a group of other Machina who come out to meet them..

Linada is the main doctor of the Machina Village, and resides in Junks. She treats Fiora so that she can better survive separation from her recently wrecked Face suit, and becomes determined to find a way to permanently restore the Homs bodies of all Face units. Throughout the game she can almost always be found on the upper floor of Junks, working. Voltak is her assistant.

She is later seen on Junks again, when Miqol rescues the group after they are defeated by Egil at the Meyneth Shrine, and tends to Shulk after the events at the Mechonis Core. She can always be found on Junks, both on the Fallen Arm and after Mechonis is destroyed, in Colony 6.

In the game's epilogue, Linada is seen walking hand in hand with a Machina man (most likely Voltak). She looks very happy.

Linada reappears briefly during the ending of Future Connected, where she is present for Melia's coronation in Alcamoth.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed[]

In Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed, Linada appears in a flashback when Shulk and Rex are telling the rest of the party the history of their original worlds, the Bionis and Alrest, and how each world had their own hardships before eventually finding peace prior to the creation of Aionios. She also appears in the credits, during scenes from Xenoblade Chronicles.

Trivia[]

  • Linada's Japanese voice actress, Asako Sato, also voices Yumea.
