The Monoceros docked at the Argentum Trade Guild
The Monoceros is a vehicle in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It is the ship of the secretive Torna organization. It is first viewed docked at the Argentum Trade Guild when Rex arrives with Azurda in Chapter 1. Contrary to most of the ships in Alrest, the Monoceros is fully mechanical and does not need a Titan to operate.
Story[]
In the immediate aftermath of the Aegis War, following the destruction of the Tornan Titan and Lora's death, Jin destroys his old house, which survived Torna's destruction, before departing in the Monoceros.
500 years later, the Monoceros is located at the Argentum Trade Guild, where Rex has traveled to sell some salvage. There, he receives a summons from Bana, chairman of the Guild. Bana introduces Jin, as well as the Drivers Malos and Nia, and their respective Blades, Sever and Dromarch, who have a salvage job offer for Rex. The target wreckage is in uncharted waters, and the group specifically requests that a Leftherian be on the salvage team. Rex accepts, much to the dismay of Azurda, and the team soon departs for the wreckage. As they head for the wreckage, Rex notices the Monoceros in the distance, seemingly following them.
Later, in Mor Ardain, the Monoceros emerges from underneath Bulge Harbor in the Old Factory to allow Mikhail and Patroka to escape from the party after their defeat. The Monoceros continues to serve as Torna's base of operations afterwards, including while Jin travels to Temperantia. Following Jin and Malos's confrontation with Rex and his party at the Cliffs of Morytha, Akhos, Mikhail and Patroka struggle to pilot the Monoceros further into the Cloud Sea to recover Jin from the Land of Morytha. After Jin's recovery, the Monoceros departs the Land of Morytha, before Torna takes command of the Marsanes for the climb to the World Tree's boundary layer.
