A Pugilith

Pugiliths (ベルデロ, Berudero) are a type of robotic machine used by the Ganglion in Xenoblade Chronicles X. They are ostrich-like mobile cannons, operated by a Puge sitting where the bird's head would be. The Puge pilot can be targetted and destroyed, though this will not stop the Pugilith as it can continue to attack without a pilot.

Description

"Puge mobile cannons meant for infantry support in environments that larger weapons cannot access, such as dense urban areas."

"If the puge inside is neutralized, a pugilith will continue to rain fire down on the designated hostile entity, though manual control can be re-engaged should another puge take command. But even destroyed pugiliths have their uses, as their incredibly thick armor makes for an ideal barricade."

Color Variants

Pugiliths fall into two variants, distinguished by the color of their lights:

• Green pugiliths have green lights and can drop New Cylinders.
• Orange pugiliths have orange lights and can drop Used Cylinders.
