Rainbow Bugs (Japanese: ニジイロタガメ, Nijiirotagame) are collectables in Xenoblade Chronicles. They can be found in Frontier Village. According to their description, they shine in myriad colours as they swim and they probably lure small fish.

Frontier Village - the following locations have the highest spawn rate (19%) for Rainbow Bugs:
- eastern part of Frontier Village at BF1; descend from the tree trunk, turn right, and then head straight until the blue orb is visible
- BF1, underneath the Entry Bridge
- upper-left area of BF1
- near the Underground Store
