Soaring Tempest is one of Dunban's physical arts in Xenoblade Chronicles. Dunban soars into the air, inflicting damage to any nearby enemies. It is his only physical art that hits an area. Each hit fills part of the Talent Gauge.
|Level Learnt||Attribute||Range||Distance||# of hits||Hit Rate||Multiplier||Effect|
|44||Physical||Centered around caster||10 M||3||Depends on art level||Depends on art level||Adds 10% to the talent gauge per hit|
|Arts Level||AP Cost||Multiplier||Hit Rate|| Cooldown|
- Damage is calculated based on the weapon's power + Dunban's strength.
- When dealing with at least four enemies and Heat Haze is active, Dunban can effectively fill most of the Party Gauge and his talent gauge in one shot by using Soaring Tempest. This will also give him the chance to trigger a critical burst affinity to fill the Party Gauge further.
- Some high level Unique Monsters are grouped with low level enemies, especially the ones near the end of the game. In conjunction with the above tactic, Dunban can effectively refill the Party Gauge during a Chain Attack by defeating the nearby weaker enemies, thus opening up a second Chain Attack. A demonstration of this tactic can be seen here.
