"The skin of these creatures bears a texture reminiscent of bark or rock. They often camouflage themselves in the tops of trees, lashing out with scythe-like forelimbs whenever a potential meal stumbles too close. The grasping apparatus on its tail is used to clamp onto tree trunks, as well as to hold the body of the female in place during mating."
"Thallus eggs resemble plant seeds in both form and function, and the hatchlings that emerge are long, thin and string-like. These larvae will coil around branches and imitate vines until ready to enter the pupal phase."
Thalluses fall into two color variants:
- Dark thalluses are lighter in coloration. They can drop Black Thallus Antennae. They appear in Noctilum.
- White thalluses are darker in coloration. They can drop Red Thallus Antennae. They appear in Oblivia.
Types of Thalluses
