The Monado Awakens (モナド発動, Monado Reacts) is an Event Track in Xenoblade Chronicles, composed and arranged by ACE+. It is track 7 of disc 1 from the Xenoblade Original Soundtrack. This music plays in a couple cutscenes, first when Reyn attempts to wield the Monado in the Weapon Development Lab in Colony 9 but can't control it. More ominously, it later plays when the party reaches the Central Factory in the Mechonis for the second time, via Junks, and Shulk collapses in agony, struggling with the Monado in an unprecedented manner.
